Service Awards
Every year, employees are presented service awards for their years of loyal service to the citizens of Crete. This year 13 employees received awards for their years of service. These employees have a combined 230 years of service to the City of Crete. A big THANK YOU to all of these employees for their dedication and loyalty to the City of Crete.
35 Years:
Tom Ourada is currently the City Administrator for the City. Tom started with the City in the Electric Department in 1981. In 1994 he became the Director of Public Works. He was promoted to his current position as City Administrator in 2013.
Robert (Bob) Haufle has been with the City in the Street Department for the majority of his 35 year career. The only exception is being the Cemetery Sexton for 2 years.
25 Years:
Ken Brown started with the city in 1991 and is still working in the Water Department.
Dean Pracheil has filled many roles in his 25 years with the City. He began his career in the Street Department, along with serving as the Street Supervisor. In 2011 he took over the responsibility as Cemetery Sexton.
20 Years
Rod Kuss started with the City in 1996. He began working with the Electric Department and is currently the Foreman in the Electric Department.
15 Years
Diane Goranson is currently the Deputy City Clerk. She started with the City as the Mayor's assistant in 2001. In 2008 she moved to her current position.
Lee Krasser is the lead wastewater operator at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was promoted from operator in 2012.
Eric Mercier began working and is currently with the Crete Police Department as a police officer in 2001.
Angela Ulrich works part time for the City at the Library.
10 Years
Gordon Bridges is the City's Power Plant Superintendent. He began working for the City in 2006 with the Power Plant. In 2012, he transferred to the Street Department and then back to the Power Plant in 2015 to his current position.
Jose Ramos started working for the City with the Water Department. In 2007 he transferred to the Electric Department where he is currently an Electric Lineman.
5 Years
Jon Pucket is a police officer with the Crete Police Department. He began his career with the City as an officer in 2011.
Zoraida Ramos works as a bookkeeper in the Public Works Utility Office. She is also a translator for the many departments within the City.
