Crete Public Library receives second set of equipment for Innovation Studio

The library recently received the second half of the Innovation Studio equipment.  In the Nebraska room you will find a Laser Cutter, Vinyl Cutter, Heat Press, 12.5" Laminator and the Lego Mindstorm.  This set of equipment will be at the library until mid-May.

The Universal Laser Cutter as its name implies, uses a laser to cut he etch many materials including wood, cork, metal and glass.  The Vinyl Cutter's blade cuts out shapes and letters from sheets of thin, self-adhesive plastic vinyl.  The Heat Press can transfer designs or photos onto a variety of fabric, including a mousepad.

There are also three computers containing Coral Draw software.  This software is a drawing program that can help you design unique patterns that can be used with the Laser Cutter, Vinyl Cutter and Heat Press.
