Public information meeting on Tuxedo bridge project set for June 4
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe City of Crete will hold a public information meeting on Tuesday, June 4 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Exhibit Building in Tuxedo Park to provide information regarding the proposed Crete Tuxedo Park Road bridge project.
This project would replace the bridge over the Big Blue River with a new 125-foot span concrete slab bridge with a 24-foot clear width roadway and 10-foot clear width bikeway, and would also add approaches and grade beams on piles. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve the reliability of the transportation asset, improve sight distance and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public. The need is due to the condition of the existing bridge.
This meeting is being held to provide information regarding the project, currently in the preliminary design phase, and to receive the public’s input. A formal presentation will not be included as part of the is information open house. Personnel will be present to answer questions and receive comments. The public is encouraged to attend and present relevant comments and questions regarding the proposed project. Comments will be collected through Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
La Municipalidad de Crete realizará una reunión de información pública, Martes, 4 de junio, 5-7 pm, sobre el proyecto propuesto Crete Tuxedo Road. Este proyecto reemplazaría del puente sobre el Big Blue River con un nuevo puente de concrete de 125 pies de longitud con una ruta de 24 pies de ancho, un camino de 10 pies para bicicletas y también agregaría vigas de cimentación y acceso sobre pilotes.
El propósito del proyecto propuesto es mejorar la confiabilidad de los activos de transporte, mejorar la distancia visual y perpetuar la movilidad del público que viaja. La necesidad de debe a la condición del puente existente.
Esta reunión de información se realiza para brindar información sobre el proyecto, actualmente en la base de diseño, y para recibir la opinión del público. No se incluirá una presentación formal como parte de esta reunión abierta de información. El personal estará presente para responder preguntas y recibir comentarios. Se sugiere al público que presenten comentarios relevantes y preguntas sobre este proyecto propuesto. Los comentarios serán recibidos hasta el miércoles, 19 de junio de 2019.
