Library Park opened in 2020 on the block with the new Crete Public Library and Community Room. The park space includes a play structure, benches, and new landscaping with green space and native plants. A shade structure was added in 2021. A path through the park has a StoryWalk® where visitors read a featured children's book as they follow marked pedestals with large, laminated book pages. Parallel parking is along 16th Street and Grove Ave. The parking lot for the library and community room is at 1515 Forest Ave. with park access (Go to Parks and Recreation Department Main Page)
