Annual Budgets and Financial Statements

The City Clerk-Treasurer maintains the budget and financial statements of the city in addition to managing the city’s payroll, risk management and insurance coverage, while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. 

Annual Budgets

The budget for the operations of all City of Crete departments is approved by the City Council annually as provided for in Nebraska State Statute. (From 2013-2019, the city operated on a biennial budget.)


Financial Statements

‚ÄčThe financial statements of the City are audited annually by an independent auditor.  The independent auditor is procured through the procurement process as adopted by the City Council.
