Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment hears and decides appeals on decisions based on or made in the enforcement of regulations relating to the location or soundness of structures; hears requests for interpretations of maps and appeals for variances. The elected, six-member Crete City Council acts as the Board of Adjustment with the Council President serving as chairperson.
Note: Nebraska Legislative Bill 289 passed in March 2025 included a revision of state statute to allow the city councils in cities of the first class (population 5,000 - 100,000) to constitute a board of adjustment.
