The library at a glance:
- Welcomes over 40,000 patron visits annually
- Circulates almost 70,000 library books and media annually
- Maintains a collection of 25,227 print books, audiobooks, and DVDs
- Provides computer access during over 4,200 visits annually
Crete Public Library is devoted to serving the citizens of Crete and surrounding areas with our print and electronic resources as well as our programs. We have been promoting literacy, computer skills and life-long learning through our well-stocked print/eBook/audiobooks, as well as our enriching programs. The new library building opened in January 2020. Crete Public Library is accredited through the Nebraska Library Commission at the Silver Level through 2022.

Current library pickup window hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday - 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. |
