Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program is available in partnership with the Friends of the Crete Public Library and Crete Public Library.

Any child age 0-5 years who lives within the Crete School District can be registered for this program and will receive one free children's book each month until age five. Books are developmentally appropriate and hand-selected to be great, read-aloud stories with strong educational value. Two out of twelve books mailed each year will be bilingual and Braille books are also available if needed.

Families who change addresses within the Crete School District should notify the library of the change to continue receiving books.

The first 50 families to sign up through Crete Public Library received a copy of "Dolly Parton's Little Golden Book."
