Crete Public Library 2026 Reading Challenge.

Join the 2026 Book Reading Challenge. This challenge is all about pushing your reading habits, discovering new genres, and building a reading community. Pick up a reading log at the library.

1. Set Your Goal: Mark off as many boxes as you can throughout the year. Count 1 book towards 1 box.
2. Track Your Progress: Keep a list or use an app (such as Goodreads, StoryGraph,o r a simple spreadsheet) to track the books you've read. Each time you finish a book, mark it as complete.
3. Bring in your log: Bring in your Challenge log to the library staff and they'll enter you into the 2026 Reading Challenge drawing. With each box checked off the list, you will get 1 ticket entry into the drawing for an iPad.
4. Set a Pace: To be able to check off all 100 boxes throughout the year, you would need to read at a pace of 2 books per week. Please do not feel like you need to read all 100 books during the year; go at whatever pace works best for you.
