A Tree Grows in Crete" program will be on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in the Crete Carrier Community Room at Crete Public Library.

Learn all about tree/shrub selection as well as local tree issues during the first speaker program of 2024 at Crete Public Library on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m. in the Crete Carrier Community Room.

Justin Evertson is the Assistant Director for the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum and his areas of expertise include trees, arboriculture and sustainable landscaping. The second speaker is Rick Brown, a City of Crete Tree Board member, longtime local arborist, and current employee of Axline Lawn and Landscaping. Speakers will be followed by a Q&A session.

Several free tree resources will be available, including a free tree sapling or shrub to each attendee. Plants will be available for pick-up in mid-April.
